Avicularia juruensis Morph 2 is a remarkable morph of the Peruvian Pinktoe tarantula, known for its vibrant and iridescent color palette. It displays a rich combination of deep green, purple, and metallic blue shades, accentuated with striking golden or reddish setae. This morph is highly sought after due to its unique color intensity and captivating appearance.
Behavior and Temperament: Avicularia juruensis M3 is typically docile and shy, similar to other Avicularia tarantulas. It’s generally calm but will quickly jump or retreat if startled, making it suitable for intermediate keepers who are familiar with the care needs of arboreal species.
Habitat and Environment Needs: Native to the Peruvian rainforests, this morph requires a well-ventilated enclosure with high humidity (75-85%) and vertical space to mimic its natural arboreal environment. Provide plenty of branches, cork bark, and foliage to encourage climbing and webbing.
Feeding: Avicularia juruensis M3 has a healthy appetite and enjoys a varied diet of insects such as crickets, roaches, and other suitable-sized feeders.
Additional Information: The M3 morph’s vibrant colors are more pronounced after each molt, and it requires a careful balance of humidity and ventilation to thrive without mold or respiratory issues. This morph also benefits from slightly warmer temperatures within its range for optimal health.
