Breeding Timeline
| Date / Timeline | Event / Phase |
| January – March 2026 | Pairing Period: Multiple successful insertions observed. |
| August 2, 2026 | Eggsac Production: Female successfully spun and packed the sac. |

| Present Status | First Instar: Successful transition from EWL (eggs-with-legs). |
Husbandry & Incubation Management
- Environmental Consistency: Maintaining a steady 27°C and 70% humidity proved optimal for the embryo development, avoiding common issues like premature sac drying or mold outbreaks.
- Maternal Phase: The female successfully rolled and protected the sac through a critical 36-day period, ensuring robust developmental rotation before mechanical intervention.
- Artificial Incubation: Post-pull incubation was highly efficient, leading to uniform development from the nymphal stage into fully mobile first-instar spiderlings.
Immediate Next Steps & Care Plan
- Individual Housing: Separate first-instar spiderlings into individual vials or small deli cups. Prioritise excellent cross-ventilation, as stagnant air is fatal to Avicularia species.
- Moisture Control: Lightly mist one side of the container or use slightly damp substrate to sustain local humidity without saturating the environment. Allow to dry out briefly between mistings.
- First Feedings: Offer small, manageable prey like flightless fruit flies (Drosophila hydei) or tiny pinhead crickets approximately 7 to 10 days after they molt, once their exoskeletons fully darken and harden.
